Shukri Dozom
Embedded Software Engineer | Tech Lead @ Micropolis Robotics
Embedded Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience developing firmware and embedded systems for robotics and IoT applications, with a strong focus on STM32-based systems, C/C++, CAN, and RTOS.
My work focuses on building modular, maintainable, and reusable firmware architectures that separate application logic from hardware-specific implementation. I design layered embedded software using C/C++ and OOP principles, while keeping performance, resource constraints, and real-time requirements in mind.
I also develop the engineering infrastructure around embedded software, including custom development frameworks, package management, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and reusable software components. The goal is to make embedded development more structured and scalable, allowing firmware modules to be tested, versioned, reused, and deployed across different hardware platforms with minimal changes.
My experience includes:
- Firmware development, debugging, testing, and system integration
- Layered and hardware-independent firmware architecture
- RTOS-based application development
- STM32 and microcontroller-based systems
- CAN and other embedded communication protocols
- Bootloaders and OTA firmware update mechanisms
- Unit testing and automated firmware testing
- Custom package management and dependency management
- CI/CD infrastructure for embedded software
- Development of reusable C/C++ components and frameworks
I am particularly interested in improving the software engineering practices used in embedded systems—bringing concepts such as modularity, automated testing, package management, and continuous integration into resource-constrained, real-time environments.
